Questions I’ve frequently got asked:

1. Do I still have the car?

Answer: No, I sold it to buy a home and start a family. However I did drive over 70k miles on the car before selling it. All of those miles were many smiles per gallon

2. What is the fluttering sound? Is your car broken?

Answer: No, that is the sound of an EWG (external waste gate). For high boost/big turbo subarus, it is the most reliable way of controlling the boost

3. Why did you only make around 600whp with that turbo?

Answer: Numbers on a dyno alone does not factor in other variables. There are high reading dynos and low reading dynos. For reference, a full bolt on STI on e85 maxes out at around 300-310whp on this same dyno. The shop uses DynoDynamics which is one of the lowest reading dynos around (nick named heart breaker).
