The Atlanta division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives has teamed up with the National Shooting Sports Foundation to offer a large reward for information about a crew of burglars who stole a number of firearms from a DeKalb County pawn shop.
The two groups are offering a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of members of the crew.
Investigators in the DeKalb County Police believe members of the five-man crew could be young as 15 years old. The group smashed into Candler Pawn and ran off with handguns, shotguns, assault rifles, and electronics on Nov. 20.
Police said the men were inside for close to 15 minutes before fleeing the location.
"We take this crime very seriously," Special Agent in Charge Wayne Dixie said. "There are nine firearms on the street, with the strong potential of being sold to and used by other criminals."
Last Wednesday, One man, Cameron Butler, has been arrested in connection with this burglary.
Officials are asking anyone with information to call the ATF Gun Hotline at 1-800-283-4867 or through the ATF's app Reportit. Callers can remain anonymous.
