World Osteoporosis Day (WOD), on October 20 each year, marks a year-long campaign dedicated to raising global awareness of the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis. In many cases, osteoporosis has a life-changing impact, especially in terms of independence and routine activities.
As Osteoporosis is now a growing global concern and with the pandemic minimising our physical activities even further, it is important to remind ourselves to exercise regularly and also ensure a diet rich in calcium, protein, vitamin D and B12. If there is a history of Osteoporosis in your family, we suggest you to be even more wary of any symptoms, ranging from regular back pain to acute pain in the knee joints. Stay vigilant, stay healthy.
