One of the most (in)famous stories to come out of Egypt is the Contendings of Horus and Set. A timeless tale which has seemingly inspired massively-influential literary works of their own. That all being said, this is (in my absolutely bias opinion) the most humorous and timeless of such stories.
When the king of Egypt is *mysteriously* slain by his younger brother who happens to take over as soon as he is dead, the quest is on to reassemble the corpse of Osirus and breed a new heir to the throne. One who will contest his uncle for his rightful throne is some of the most ridiculous sets of challenges ever transcribed.
