Rahul Gandhi has often been targeting the BJP over Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. He gave a statement about Savarkar at a press conference after his disqualification from the membership of the Lok Sabha. Rahul was asked if he would apologise for the 'Modi surname' remark he had made in 2019, for which, he has been convicted by a Surat court.
To this question, Rahul Gandhi said, "My name is not Savarkar, my name is Gandhi. Gandhi does not apologise to anyone."
