VIDEO INFO:
With this Jebel Jais hike in the UAE, you’ll be the highest member of the public in the country and almost twice the height of the world’s tallest tower, the Burj Khalifa.
1. Reach the highest public point in the UAE on foot
2. Amazing photo opportunities all around
3. Suitable for standard forms of fitness and kids (with a bit of help)
4. AED5 per person to park at Jebel Jais Viewing Deck Park - the starting point which is situated on the Jebel Jais mountain road about 2km from the end of the public road. You can't miss it!
5. It takes about 2 hours to drive form Dubai.
6. The hike starts with a steep climb, before the first rest point at the Viewing Deck Park summit where there is a huge UAE flag. From there, it's fairly straightforward undulating paths until another steep climb to the summit.
7. The hike is not a loop so you will come down the same way you went up.
8. UAE’s highest public point is not actually the highest point in the country... find out more details when I summit in the video!
