Pope Francis met one of the newest ambassadors to the Holy See on Thursday. Coming from the war-torn country of Ukraine, Andrii Yurash presented his credentials to the Holy Father. The 53 year old previously served in the Ukrainian government. He has a journalism degree and is married with 3 children. The country he represents is roughly 10% Catholic and around two-thirds Orthodox. Ambassador Yurash joins to tell us more about the meeting with the Holy Father and also about the Vatican's efforts to bring peace to Ukraine. The ambassador discusses the work that the Ukrainian Embassy to the Holy See is doing amid the military conflict. Ambassador Andrii recently declared that the Holy See is a sincere partner in doing everything possible to stop the war. He shares whether he believes that a possible visit of the Pope could be a message to reach a peaceful turning point in the conflict.
