Improving Surgical Skills and Outcomes: A Multi-Perspective Approach. This book is due for release July 2024. The book looks at surgery through three 'boxes' or perspectives, the 'how' the 'what' and the 'why' of surgery. In box 1 I review sports psychology, Simulators, air line pilots, elite athletes and musicians. This is the final result of my attempt after 30 years NOT playing guitar to learn a great solo by Nuno Bettencourt of Extreme. I learned a lot about how I learn a new technical skill and applied it to surgery. I wish I could practice surgery in the same way!
