Swarms of newly hatched brown locusts that can barely fly yet.
An aerial view from a helicopter early morning's, one can see patches of brown spots similar to mud patches after a rainy week. They were still vulnerable as they could not fly yet. When they reach their maturity stage they will become very difficult to control, covering around 100km per day, next year if the government together with farmers, work together to eradicate them earlier before they reach their maturity stage, gradually the following years we would see them decline.
I spotted these earlier as well, around Jan 2021 near Groblershoop & Olifantshoek, Nov 2021 near Merriman, Hannover, De Aar & Hopetown.
