The Athens Marathon had a great Expo. We visited on the Saturday, so it was a bit crowded and at some places a bit hard to manoeuvre around, but there were a lot of stands from all the major sports companies and a lot of different races, mostly Greek races though.
We spent the rest of our time in Athens sightseeing, which is a great thing to do in Athens. There is a lot to see and since I love the Greek history and visiting the old remains of Ancient Greece it is a treat to visit sites like the Acropolis and the Temple of Olympian Zeus.
Of course I had to reward myself with some ice cream after the marathon so we found an amazing ice cream place with real Italian ice cream.
After all the walking around we figured we would do a tour by Segway. It was my first time on a Segway and I must say I liked it a lot more than I thought I would. We got to see quite a lot in a short amount of time and visited a couple of look out spots we never would have found otherwise.
Our short trip to Athens was a great one and I can really recommend the city, the Athens Marathon, Central hotel, La Grece ice cream shop and the Segway tour that we did. We had an amazing time.
