More than five hundred of Africa's best brains in food production will gather in Zambia on Wednesday to look at ways of meeting the food needs of Africa's growing mainly urban population. The conference dubbed the African Green Revolution Forum takes place against some alarming statistics. Africa spends over 500 billion rands importing food every year and only two countries in the East and Southern Africa produced enough food to feed themselves this year.
