Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica, we're going to be test fitting the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Snow Tire Chains, part number TC729DC. These are tough, durable chains with a diagonal pattern and a roller design to them.These chains, when you're using these, these are going to be mainly for your light snow situations, so for the heavier duty stuff such as ice, these won't do as well for you. With the diagonal pattern, as well as the rollers that I pointed out earlier, these are going to help with very effective starts and stops in those light snows, and since they're low profile with these rollers, will provide a smoother ride, as well, with less jarring.These are SAE Class S chains, meaning they are designed to work with limited wheel well clearance and they're made from a manganese nickel alloy, which makes them tough and durable.Also, it does come with these rubber tensioners with the kit itself, so you don't have to purchase these separately, and that's going to maintain the tension while you drive. These are very easy to install. You don't have to dig in behind the tire to get these hooked up, and they come in a quantity of two, and once you're finished using them, they also have convenient carrying case so you can place them in that, have them in the trunk and ready for next time.Today I'm working with tires size 235/65r17. If you try to put these chains on and they don't fit your particular tire size, just double-check it and then go to our website and find the proper fit.We went ahead and laid the chain out in front of the tire, and since this could be still trying on your hands even though these are particularly easy to install, we do recommend that you wear gloves while you install these.Our first step to install these is, we're going to slide them behind the tire, wrapping around our open end in the center.
Before we do that, though, I do want to point out that you want to make sure these are facing the proper direction and they are marked Tire Side, where they're supposed to make contact with the tire.Also, here's the break that you see in the front. You want to make sure that's facing away from the tire as you slide this behind.Next we'll take our both ends, bring them up around the back side of the tire, and connect them at the very top. Hook together like so. Hook up top notch here, then continue on to the bottom. Then we can add our rubber tensioners, which are included.
Bring it around.Now, with our rubber tensioner attached, we'll drive a short distance, make sure the tension's working properly, and then we'll be good to go.And there you have it for the Titan Chain Diagonal Alloy Snow Tire Chains on our 2018 Chrysler Pacifica.
