Number one is they don't want you to know that they've set a reserve on your file, and what I mean by that is they've set a reserve at the beginning of your case of how much money that they're willing to pay on your claim, and that adjuster, their sole purpose is to settle that case below that reserve that's set so they can get a bonus. If this case ultimately settles above that reserve, heads are gonna roll at the insurance company, and of course, they don't want you to know that. Number two is they have a recorded statement of their insured, and they don't want you to know that. They don't want you to know they already know the story of the case, they already know what's happened. They're gonna try to get you to give a statement or give some words or give something to them that they can twist or use to their advantage in order to pay less on the case. Remember this. The third secret the insurance companies don't want you to know, they don't want you to know what their policy limits are, okay? They don't want you to know if there's other people involved that might have an umbrella policy or other excess liability policies we could go after, and of course, if you don't have representation, you're never gonna know that and they're never gonna reveal it. The fourth secret the insurance companies don't wanna tell you, and perhaps one of the most important ones is they're watching you. If you have a catastrophic claim or you're submitting a claim for significant injury, significant monetary damages, they're gonna watch you. They're gonna watch you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, any kinda social media you're on, they're watching your activity. They'll go as far sometimes as to hire a private investigator to watch you outside. If you're claiming a back injury and they can, you know, watch you doing something or playing with your grandkids, playing with your kids, anything like that, they're gonna try to get that information to devalue your claim, poke holes in your case, remember.
