There is a lot of overlapping information out there. Everyone uses different phrases and words to describe things.

This video should help you understand the differences between different implant overdentures.

Overdentures or implant dentures are usually a full edentulous solution. The denture is either held directly in place by implants or are implant aided.

In any case, your denture should be more sturdy and stop sliding out of place when you eat.

But, it is not a necessarily a like for like replacement for natural teeth.

And, there are still some potential drawbacks.
