We are back on the Hockenheimring for the second to last Round of the Speer Racing Regio Cup! This time we're racing on the IDM variant!
As usual, we arrived on the evening two days prior to the race to set up the box, have some talks in the paddock, do a trackwalk and ride the first training and qualifying sessions the next morning.
The first qualifying sessions we're going great! First I had to learn how to ride the new variant but I was getting into my rhythm quickly for the rest of the track. I was getting faster and faster until I reached a point where my bike started wheelie-ing on the exit of the Sachs-Kurve and I couldn't turn in for the next right hand corner. So I rode straight into the gravel pit and crashed there. Sadly I wasn't recording on those stints.
I was brought back to the pits, spent some time fixing the bike with duct tape and cable ties, passed the technical check and went out for the last stint of the day.
Race day started good as well. I could improve on my qualifying time and was able to place myself on P10 (600ccm) and P14 (Overall) for the race start with two 600ccm not starting the race. So P8 (600ccm) and P12 (Overall) for the race start.
How the race went you can watch in the video.
Hope you enjoy!
