While the World Health Organization has been working around the clock, with partners, to respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, WHO has remained focused on protecting and promoting the health of all people everywhere from multiple other challenges they face, from malaria and polio control to beating noncommunicable diseases, says Dr Tedros, WHO Director-General, in this end of year message. Helping countries strengthen their primary health care systems, as part of their approach to advancing universal health coverage, is still WHO’s priority, says Dr Tedros.
