McDonald's becomes latest chain to ditch plastic straws and roll out paper alternative at UK and Ireland eateries following Burger King, Costa Coffee and Pizza Express. McDonald's is ditching plastic straws for paper ones in all of its restaurants, the fast food giant has revealed.
The roll-out of the paper alternative will start in September and comes as pressure grows on firms to reduce single use plastic packaging and products.
