if someone honestly believes evolution is false, why should they be allowed to attend university? there should be two little checkboxes that say, "yes i understand the evidence for evolution," and, "yes i accept evolution as fact." don't let anyone else into higher education because it debauches and degrades the entire enterprise.
as you will see, we are in the process of creating an exclusive privately funded university whereby we can assure that these brain dead faith heads are nowhere among the ranks of true scholars, intellectuals, and professionals.
everyday i look for a way not to lead the global nonreligious revolution. there are so many other pressing opportunities to uplift humanity.
and yet, everyday i am bombarded by religious people who are telling me evolution is completely false. people who are actually mocking me and making fun of me for studying evolution. people who are telling me that without jesus i will burn forever in a literal afterlife of hell. people saying that same sex marriage, which is now legal in all 50 states, is an abomination and they all are doomed to eternal torture and damnation.
it's a wonder...
i look around and all the crime rates, murder rates, poverty rates, aggravated assault rates, domestic abuse rates. they are all taking place in the most religious regions. what is that about?

an estimated 80% of religious people are "born into" their religion. but this just means they were told what to believe. in other words, they were brainwashed. they were programmed. they were indoctrinated.
this might be considered a special form of child abuse by certain progressive atheists. this because it seriously harms the mind irrevocably at an age when the child is simply too young to know any better and too helpless to do anything about it even if the existential harm was understood.
it harms the mind to be told that god created the world in 6 days. it harms the mind to be told that god sends people to hell to be burned and tortured for all eternity. it causes real harm in people's lives to make them constantly ashamed of every sexual desire and emotion they experience.

When I was 13, my pastor literally told me that evolution was false. Even today there are thousands of pastors all around the country saying the same thing. It causes serious harm when children are brought up to believe that science is unreliable. Science is responsible for all of the wonderful glories of the modern world.
Do you like indoor plumbing? Do you like artificial light? Do you like a stove, an oven, and a microwave? Do you like automobiles and airplanes? Do you like smartphones and the World Wide Web? Maybe you like air conditioning or indoor heating. Maybe you like washing machines and dryers for your clothes.
These are good things, And they are all provided to us through the methods and procedures of science. and because evolution is the greatest achievement of science, when children are forced to seriously disbelieve evolution it sets up a mental dissonance, a deep inner disharmony.
For human beings, the mind is the most necessary survival mechanism. and this deep inner disharmony begins to break down and deteriorate the normal functioning of the mind, like an automobile that never ever has an oil change.
sometimes it even feels like telling a child evolution is false would be a crime against humanity. on par with total nuclear annihilation.
You have to have the courage to see what's right and say what's right and stand up for what's right. Even when it's difficult, even when no one else agrees. even when you're going against the crowd. Religion is not right, and the absence of religion is right. The absence of religion represents everything good in society.
