The Lok Sabha proceedings were adjourned for the day on July 20th amid noisy protests by opposition members over the situation in Manipur. The opposition has been continuously protesting and creating a ruckus in both houses of Parliament over the Manipur violence. Union Minister Smriti Irani accused the Congress of avoiding discussion on the Manipur viral video incident and atrocities against women in Manipur. She urged the opposition party MPs in Lok Sabha to let the House function smoothly during the ongoing Monsoon session of Parliament. The government has assured discussion on Manipur in both houses. However, the opposition seems to be obstructing the discussion. The situation has led to the adjournment of both houses of Parliament for the day
