After destroying the first Fell Dragon Shard on the raised land of Gradlon, Alear and company venture into a mountainous region of the land where the crystal Zephia gave to Veyle in her dying breaths reveals the next Fell Dragon Shard underneath the lake in a way that throws the entire group for a loop! The shard isn't revealed by draining the lake or raising the mountains, but rather by rewinding time 1000 years!
In the past, Alear meets her past self, a loyal servant of her father Sombron, who uses the shard to create avalanches. Your army is split up into three rows, and every two turns Past Alear will send an avalanche on one of the rows that will push all units in that row back a few spaces. However, if you get in front of a rock or an enemy unit, it will stop your backward momentum.
As implied in the mission introduction, the crystal's effect only lasts for a short time, and as a result this battle has a time limit giving you only 15 turns to kill the boss and destroy the shard. So you'll want to go full speed ahead and get in front of those rocks so you get thrown back by the avalanches as little as possible. Once you get to Past Alear, you'll want to get all of your units as close as possible to her without getting within her attack range so you don't lose a unit to Lodestar Rush, and then bomb her with Engage attacks. Past Alear has a very high avoid stat, so use as many Engage attacks on her as possible since they're guaranteed to hit.
