Without documentation, citizenship, or opportunity for social mobility, the Bidoon are a population who live in the fringes of Kuwaiti society in impoverished conditions. In this talk, Anwar discusses the causes and condition of the Bidoon, which stems out of research he conducted via interviews with government agencies, university professors, and a culling of Human Rights Watch data. He concludes his talk with a pragmatic approach of what can be done to aid those who are in desperate need in one of the world's richest countries. Anwar Al Saleh is an 11th grade student at the American School of Kuwait. He is a Kuwaiti national with a vested interest in regional politics. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at [ Ссылка ]
