On this episode we get up close with Ross Jackson, director of the UMCT Memorial Community Trust in Albury Woodonga. The organization consists of volunteers tasked with restoring this Douglas DC-2 "Uiver" model to static display condition. Interestingly, this DC-2 is one of the oldest of its kind in the world. Originally used by the RAAF, this plane was entered in an air race, during which it had to make an emergency landing in October, 1934. The plane landed safely, resuming the race the next day and placing an astonishing 2nd!
