You can cycle from Leytonstone in north east London to Victoria Park in east London, entirely on quiet streets and protected cycle lanes.
The route is 5 km long (a bit over 3 miles) and makes use of cycle tracks along Grove Green Road, the Leytonstone South low traffic neighbourhood, and cycle paths and quieter streets around Hackney Wick and the Olympic Park.
The journey takes around 20 minutes to ride, which is faster than by public transport, which takes at least half an hour and requires a change or a long-ish walk.
