This recording from Casper, Wyoming, was an attempt to capture "shadow bands" in the moments immediately preceding and following totality. While that didn't work, it did capture the giddiness and excitement of the people around me. It also shows how fast darkness falls when the last rays of sunlight are totally eclipsed by the moon.
