This may be THE highlight of Kathmandu, Nepal. The stunning Boudhanath Stupa, also known as the Bouda Stupa, is one of the largest stupas in the world and is a pilgrimage site for Buddhists and Hindus. In this video, I explain the symbolism of the giant stupa and you will also see a second highlight of Kathmandu: the giant Buddha located in the Jamchen Lhakhang Monastery near the stupa. When you visit this site, you can really get a feel for the religious and spiritual nature of the Nepalese people.
