VihtaVuori reloading power can be broken down into three main series, the 300 series, the 100 series, and the 500 series. The 300 series have the fastest burn rate of the VihtaVuori powders. They’re designed mostly for pistol cartridges with the exception of Tin Star which is used in some low recoil rifle cartridges, but is designed for calvary action shooters. The M100 series is designed mainly for rifle cartridges with some exception for magnum size pistol casings. And in the 500 series which is VV high energy series, it works well in many rifle cartridges with heavy projectiles. There is also a VihtaVuori 20 series designed specifically for the .50 BMG, but also has some applications in .338 Lapua.
