North Korea has test-fired a second missile in a week, inflaming tensions on the Korean Peninsula. The missile was fired off the east coast, with Japan saying it landed outside its exclusive economic zone. Seoul said it believes it to be a ballistic missile, with more advanced capabilities than the first launch. Initial estimates by South Korea's military have found that the missile travelled more than 700 kilometres and travelled 10 times the speed of sound at its fastest. The latest launch coincided with a UN Security Council meeting to discuss the North's previous missile test.
