After escaping from certain death, Eva (Sophia Reola) finds herself under the care of Rosa (Rio Locsin) and her brother-in-law Abel (Dominic Ochoa). The young girl then meets Rosa’s sister, Adessa (Ina Raymundo), a mentally ill woman who is yearning for her child. Meanwhile, Carmen (Rosemarie Gil) promises to let Hernan (Christian Vasquez) marry Stella (Alice Dixson) should they succeed in putting up a pearl farm in San Narciso. Stella then wastes no time in pulling some strings in her eagerness to get the nod of the Cortes matriarch. However, her selfish deed comes at the expense of Rosa and the other fishermen.
