Over time the paint on these backlight type key caps will wear off presenting an unsightly cosmetic problem that this video aims to remedy. We are illustrating this with a Macbook Air 13 from 2019, which has the 2nd generation style keycap springs.

2:43 - Now if you zoom in close, you'll note despite our best efforts the lower RH peg of the scissor hinge broke on the "C" key. The replacement genuine Apple used keycaps usually include this part too, and we definitely had to replace it on the one key as well due to this damage.
