Director, AloStar Bank of Commerce
David Fischer joined AloStar Bank of Commerce shortly after its founding in 2011. He started as an underwriter, and moved up to ranks from Assistant Vice President (2011-12), to Vice President (2013) and, most recently, to Director (2014). He currently manages originations for seven southeastern states, and, according to AloStar’s Chief Executive Officer and Terry Alumnus Andy McGhee, “David has become the face of AloStar in the Southeast.”
Prior to joining AloStar, David worked for Bank of America in various capacities over a seven-year period. He began his career at BOA as an intern for National Homebuilder Executive and UGA alumnus Bob Johnson. Fischer went through the management training program at BOA, and was placed in the Atlanta Commercial Real Estate office. He worked there in various roles as an analyst, underwriter, and client manager from 2005-08. From 2008-11, he worked in the Special Asset Group at Bank of America, managing a portfolio of distressed investments throughout the Southeast.
David has served on the boards of Camp Twin Lakes and The Nature Conservancy, and he is a past chairman of Terry’s Young Alumni Board. He and his wife, Carrie, are members of Peachtree Road United Methodist Church. They have two children — Adair (2) and Flynn (1) — and they live in Sandy Springs.
