The roebelinii palm, also called the pygmy date palm, is a beautiful specimen of palm.
These are sold during the year at big box stores here in our planting zone of 6 - even though they won't survive a frost.
Most people purchase roebelinii palm plants for one season, then discard them after they die after being hit by frost. However, we like to overwinter ours each year so we can bring it out each spring.
However, this year, it developed some problems during the summer and once we brought it in, the roebelinii palm became worse.
Watch, in this video, how we deal with these problems and hope to give new life to our roebelinii palm plant.
Indeed, it's worth the effort because we love the plant, especially when it gets larger.
