Similar to how Yoshi's Island got some extra levels for the GBA version, Super Mario Bros. 3 also got a bunch of extra as well... but with a strange twist. There was an add-on called the e-Reader along with SMB3 cards to connect to the GBA and download the levels onto the console. A very complicated process back then. When this game was released on both the Wii U & Switch, all the levels became available from the get go. I would've covered this sooner during my Super Mario All-Stars playthrough a little while back, but I was not aware that Mario Advance 4 specifically was already on the GBA online app at its launch ahead of the other 3 advanced games (oops).

With this, my classic Mario & Yoshi extravaganza of playthroughs will now come to a close (though now I got another 2D game with Super Mario Bros. Wonder to look forward to later in 2023). Hope you've enjoyed all this and let's see what else I have in store in the future.
