Percy Spencer was an American engineer and inventor who worked for the Raytheon Corporation. He was born on July 19, 1894, in Howland, Maine, and died on September 8, 1970, in Newton, Massachusetts. He held 120 patents and is known for inventing the Radarange microwave oven.
