Opposition leader Peter Dutton has slammed the Albanese government for causing three times the number of businesses to go broke as the PM launches his ‘Future Made in Australia’ Act.
The Prime Minister has said the new act will evolve the way in which the government interacts with business, and the private sector in the Australian economy.
“We need to make sure that the future of manufacturing in our country is bright,” Mr Dutton told a media conference in Berkeley Vale on the NSW Central Coast Thursday.
“The Prime Minister talks a lot about Australia made, which we are all in strong support of.
“Talks a lot about Australian jobs, which of course we support.
“The problem is that under this government the number of manufacturing businesses who are going broke is up by three times.
“Businesses just can’t afford to pay their energy bills, and small and big businesses are no different to family households at the moment because they have seen massive increases in their power prices under this government."
