In this short film, Josh Dury discusses International Dark-Sky Week in collaboration with The International Dark-Sky Association.

Between 5th -12th April 2021 delegates from around the world will be hosting a series of events to raise public awareness of light pollution and its negative consequences to the natural environment.

Artificial Light at Night (ALAN) affects not only astronomy and dark skies (by reducing the contrast of the night-sky due to skyglow), but also affects wildlife conservation; especially towards nocturnal wildlife species. Evidence also suggests the direct impact towards human health affecting our nocturnal rhythms.

Josh will be hosting an event in collaboration with his astronomy organisation, Space4All and the IDA on 8th April beginning at 7:00PM GMT.
