A little insight into my fashion brand. I design and create Statement making garments for those who like to stand out effortlessly. I taught myself everything I need to know to perfect my craft and I am documenting it now so that I can show you my growth from the ground up. I’ve been doing my own DIY projects and since I was 11. I then taught myself how to crochet because I couldn’t afford a sewing machine so from 17 to 20 I was making crochet tops. At this stage my brand was formally known as The Rastafairy. I took some time out from making clothes for people so I can focus on rebranding and coming back now as Sipeli. I chose this word as my brand name because it is the word that captivates someone’s attention when you walk in the room. It means ‘spell’ in Yoruba.
