Here I use a patch that I made with Max MSP to show how to play the C Major scale on the violin finger chart, music staff, and piano. This video goes over the fingering for 1 octave. The 2 & 3 octave video will be posted next week!

I am a premier highland dancer, a classical violinist, a violin teacher, and an interactive, multimedia sonic artist. When I started this channel, I posted videos on both highland dance and violin, hence the name "HighlandViolinist". But, as I progressed through university, I became more involved in music technology, interactive computer music performance (with Max MSP), and constructing new Digital Musical Instruments (DMIs) with Arduinos and sensors. As I evolved as an artist and academic researcher, so has my YouTube channel. Instead of having multiple channels for each topic, I have this one channel that has a little bit of everything that I enjoy and I have organized my videos into playlists based on the topic.
