We all love wake surfing, but are you just craving to do more next time you're out on the water? Watch my video to learn some basics you may have not even known existed, and maybe a few you've seen but need to practice to master. I'm by no means a "master" or even expert, I've been wake surfing about 5 years behind my 2016 Malibu Wakesetter 22VLX (Her name is Mawboo) on Big Bear Lake, which is known to be windy almost all the time, so we have to get out early @ 6:45am to hit that magic water 2-3 hour window. Over the years, I've figured out how to do some tricks due to getting bored just carving (even though I absolutely love just flowing out there on the wake enjoying the music/view/experience), like the "Fade to Back" in order to move waaaay back on the wake then "Speed Pump" to get back in the front, or just to build speed for a sweet slash!
As you may notice, the tricks are named out of originality and/or the common names. I kinda just call it like I see it, for example, "the Paddleboarder" is named as such because your feet are pointing forward as you would if you were paddleboarding. Then you have the granddaddy of them all, the "360"! I gotta tell you, this one took awhile to figure out! After a year of trying, I was getting close, could pull the rotation, but couldn't line it up in order to stay in the pocket! Do I finally pull it off? Well, ya gonna have to watch to find out!
**BONUS** Worlds First Boat to Wake Surf Donut Toss!! Courtesy of Big Bear's own "Dank Donuts" owner Robert and Mr. Decker Deadliest Catch with the perfect toss!!
