(15 May 2018) Hundreds of Israeli peace activists and Israeli Arabs demonstrated opposite the Likud headquarters in Tel Aviv on Tuesday, urging the government to stop the current violence.
Protesters chanted and carried signs reading "stop the fire" and expressed their desire for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to resign.
Israeli police forces at the scene interfered to hold protesters back.
Israel has faced growing backlash and new charges of using excessive force, a day after Israeli troop fire from across a border fence killed 59 Palestinians and wounded more than 2,700 at a mass protest in Gaza.
Demonstrations in Tel Aviv took place as part of Nakba Day Protests.
May 15 marks the 70th anniversary of what Palestinians call "nakba," or catastrophe - the uprooting of hundreds of thousands in the Mideast war over Israel's 1948 creation.
