Chocobo Racing has been introduced in FFXIV Patch 2.51 with the release of Gold Saucer.

Starting with R-120 courses, the location of coffers and obstacles change somewhat from R-100 and below. This video was made to show some of those changes while I'm waiting 6 hours for pedigree #4.

Note: All opponents in the video are NPCs. Between R-80 and R-120 I only saw 2 other players, so it doesn't look like many players have caught up yet on Hyperion. Or maybe I just caught them between pedigree changes.
