On 11 October 2016, International Day of the Girl, girls and young women will be more visible than ever before, stepping into the shoes of political, social and economic leaders. The girls’ takeover of governments, schools and businesses is being organised worldwide to show what girls can achieve today and in the future.

About the animator: Leah Shore is a director and artist based in New York City working with WiredVideo. Named as one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces in Independent Film, she focuses on the production of films, art, animated TV shows and comedic live action. Her films have been shown worldwide at over 100 film festivals, museums and galleries.
