Opposition Leader Peter Dutton will head to Western Australia this week to hold his first shadow cabinet meeting.
The move is being seen as a first attempt to win back voters in WA - after suffering a swing of around ten per cent at the election and losing a total of five seats.
It comes as Liberal Party State President Richard Wilson says the Coalition's proposed reforms will give West Australians more faith.
However, WA Liberal Senator Dean Smith claims the reforms are just window dressing and will do little to tackle the systemic manipulation of branches by power brokers.
WA Premier Mark McGowan recently called Mr Dutton an extremist and said he wasn’t smart.
