Welcome to FinanceResume.net, a community of aspiring Chartered Financial Analysts. When people are to our site and the CFA exam, this is the first thing I ask them to consider: why are you interested in the CFA Charter? What tangible benefits would this title bring to you, in terms of your salary, career and professional network?
This is a very important decision, not only because you don’t want to waste time pursuing a useless qualification, but also to identify the purpose of going through this journey. Without a purpose, it is a torture studying for hundreds of hours, sacrificing precious time that you could have spent with family and friends. However, if there is a purpose to obtain this certification, then it becomes a motivation to succeed, and it is also better for your family and friends to understand what you are going through, and why you’ve got to do this.
