With host Haylie Pomroy, Jaime Seltzer, Director of Scientific and Medical Outreach at The #MeAction Network describes different triggers to ME/CFS.
While ME/CFS is often linked to infections, it’s not always viral. Fungal or bacterial infections can also trigger the condition, but not in every case.
Some patients may develop ME/CFS after physical trauma, such as surgery or a car accident, or hormonal changes, like during pregnancy or post-childbirth.
