Let's keep the flow of Kirkby Stephen running smoothly with some more heritage action, let's roar through Cumbria with Glaswegian LA1204.
XUS575S was new in 1977 as LA1204 as part of a bulk order of Atlanteans new to Greater Glasgow PTE, what garage it was based at I could not tell you, de-regulation in the late 1980s saw it transfer to Strathclyde's Buses and painted into the orange and black livery it now adorns. Withdrawal date not known but I suspect late 1990s.
LA1204 is powered by a Leyland O.680 and is coupled to a 5-speed SCG semi-automatic gearbox. A comfortable and lovely ride if I may say so myself as we depart Brough to Kirkby Stephen Station. I and hope you all like the video.
