DREAMS BEYOND SORROW: PETER HANDKE AND SLOVENIA
ASEF and Society for Slovene Studies jointly organized the ASEF Young Minds lecture. Thomas McDonald delivered a lecture on the work of Austrian writer Peter Handke (awarded the 2019 Nobel Prize for Literature), with particular attention to his relation to Slovenia.
At the beginning of the event, prof. Michael Biggins, a recent winner of the Trubar Award, introduced Society for Slovene Studies activities and invited the audience to join the society, which is open to all interested in any aspect of Slovene studies. The 2020 ASEF Fellow Maria Soledad Barrionuevo moderated the event.
