STORYLINE:
Ousted Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed a protest rally in the northwestern city of Peshawar on Wednesday, calling on his supporters to demand fresh elections.
Khan was ousted last weekend and replaced by opposition lawmaker Shahbaz Sharif on Monday.
More than 100 lawmakers from Khan's Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, or Pakistan Justice Party, resigned and walked out of the National Assembly in protest.
The rally in Peshawar is the first since Khan's ouster, during which he called for protests around the country.
Khan's supporters have accused the US of orchestrating his ouster.
