Come join us for lunch at fish restaurant Ca's Patro March in Deià. Currently in the limelight for a starring role in TV’s The Night Manager, this place has been famous in Mallorca forever.

Perched on the cliffs overlooking Cala Deià, a ravishing small cove in the north west of the island, this pared-back seafood place is just the place for a lingering lunch – if you can get in. Booking is essential with the eternally popular eating spot, especially since it hit the screens in the hit BBC series starring Hugh Laurie, Tom Hiddleston and Elizabeth Debicki, providing the stunning backdrop for a tense kidnap scene.

Usually though - as you’ll see in our video – lunch is a casual, relaxed affair, with fantastically fresh food, a few glasses of crisp wine and the sound of the lapping waves to soothe your soul. August is the liveliest month – trip down the steps to the restaurant to the clink of glasses and hum of conversation.

Grilled seafood and fish caught that very morning from the sea in your vision take pride of place on the menu, which also offers a few good meat dishes. Simple, succulent Mediterranean cuisine without pretence or fuss – just the way it should be. Seafront dining, Mallorca style.
