Changes come Sunday afternoon and evening across the Carolinas but first, it'll be a chilly morning with lows in the low-mid 20s and highs in the mid 40s.
By the afternoon, we'll be tracking a strong low-pressure system bringing us a cold rain from the Mountains to the Piedmont. By Sunday night, a changeover to wintry mix will occur in the mountains with some frozen precipitation in the Foothills-- early Monday morning.
This precipitation is expected to eventually switch back over to a cold rain late Monday morning before moving out in the afternoon. It will be an impactful morning with heavy traffic expected as people return to work and school. Please stay Weather Aware and use caution.
