India extends help to Nepal after the earthquake, that hit Nepal on April 25, 2015, destroyed almost the entire country.
Relief and rescue efforts by India was named ‘Operation Maitri’. Thousands of Indians have been brought back from Nepal by the help of India Air Force and civilian planes. Many Indian aircrafts have reached Nepal with disaster-response personnel, food and other rescue equipment.
